Year end stuff

Humor:  The ObamaCare website is fixed- go sign up now. (It's safe)

Truth: Don't Become a Libertarian.

Survival skills: An alternative weapon- the Bolas

If you celebrate, please survive to celebrate again.  If you don't celebrate, please celebrate somehow anyway.  2013 was an "interesting year".  I wonder what's in store and what I'll be saying about 2014 a year from now.

  1. The sign up for Obamacare link was funny. And I really liked the article about bolas. I had completely forgotten about them.

The article about not becoming a Libertarian was rather a bummer. I'm poor and I don't take anything from the government. I'm not afraid of it. I've been in the belly of the beast and it's pretty much like the movie Groundhog Day. To paraphrase Karl Marx (Religion is ... the opium of the people): Government entitlements are the opium of the people. When they wake up from their pipe dreams, which will take a major physical or financial disaster, then society can "reset" and begin anew... and eventually allow corrupt politicians and leaders to soothe them with more lies and untruths.

Am I cynical? Of course I am. Greed, corruption, power, and control is human nature. It takes an outstanding person not to be that way, especially at a state or national level.

  2. That article was kinda a bummer. Unfortunately, I think it is pretty true. That being said, once you "take the red pill", there's no going back. Anyone needs to be aware of the consequences before taking that step. Would I do it again? You bet I would. I just think people should be informed when making a choice- don't believe you're becoming a libertarian for the money and groupies.

  3. Hey. Thanks for the shout out for Libertarian Money.

I just was catching up on your site when I realized, "Ohh... that's me..."

I didn't mean for the article to be a bummer. I was trying to respond to an accusation I heard about libertarianism being "trendy."
